While working on the Interdisciplinary Unit “How We Organize Ourselves,” students in the “Crab” section spoke via Microsoft Teams with Ms. Stefanie, a volunteer forest firefighter. Using their social and communication skills, the children wanted to learn more about the community of which she is a part and why it is important to belong to a volunteer forest firefighting squad. Students then assumed the role of reporters, became Inquirers, and asked questions about her service to the community.
