Applying to the IB Diploma Programme

The Hellenic-American Educational Foundation (HAEF) holds admissions exams for students entering into the 1st year of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB1).

Specifically:

Α. Entrance Exams - student admissions

Candidates will have to sit the exams that are held for admission into the 1st year of the Psychico College International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB1).

Subjects that are tested are:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • General Knowledge / Critical Thinking

The exam syllabus for the aforementioned subjects can be found in the attached files.

Each of the three 75 minute tests (English, Mathematics, General Knowledge/Critical Thinking) will be scored on a scale of 100 points, with 50 points considered the lowest passing grade.

Candidates who do not achieve a passing grade in any one of the three disciplines are excluded.

Students will be admitted strictly based on rank, which is determined by the cumulative score achieved in the English, Mathematics and General Knowledge/Critical Thinking tests, and subject to the number of available spaces.

Final scores will be announced to parents in writing and no appeal for test retaking or review will be considered.

For more information regarding the exams, interested parents can contact the Athens College Student Admissions Office (15 Stephanou Delta Street, Psychico).
