Our Programs

Beyond the rigorous curriculum, our students have an opportunity to spend their time creatively and enjoyably by participating in diverse activities offered by HAEF’s Special Programs.

From courses in French, German and Chinese to Robotics (STEM), Music, Sports and Dance, they can chose from 53 different programs, thus discovering their interests and cultivating their skills and talents. They can train for competitions; prepare to sit foreign language certification exams; take classes in fine and performing arts; go on excursions; and train in competitive team sports.

Special Programs classes are conducted in our school’s state-of-the-art facilities, under the guidance of specialized teachers.  By participating in these, students socialize and interact with similarly aged children who share their same interests.

Music classes at the College Conservatory are open to students from outside our school.

Dear Parents of High School Grade 12 and IB2 students,

Commencement exercises will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 19:00.

We would like to inform you about certain organizational details associated with this event.   As you already know, the College, wishing to further highlight the academic nature of the event, has established the donning of caps and gowns by seniors throughout the Ceremony.  Caps and gowns are traditional forms of clothing for formal academic settings.

Caps and gowns are mandatory for students participating in the Commencement Ceremony and will be loaned by the School free of charge.  Students, however, wishing to own their cap and gown, must purchase it (cost €135) from the Physical Education Secretariat (Ms. Tina Siapera) by June 21st.

Caps and gowns, will be distributed to students during the rehearsal on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, but will be kept at School overnight.  At the time of distribution, students must deposit either their national I.D. card or their passport to get their cap and gown.  Once the Commencement Ceremony has ended, caps and gowns are returned to the School and the student’s ID or passport is returned to him/her. Following the Ceremony, 2019 Graduates participate in the traditional Commencement Dinner in Bookis Plaza and the welcoming party hosted by the College Alumni Association (SAKA) in the outdoor patio of their Club building.  Afternoon formal attire is expected for these events.  Boys must wear a white shirt on the day of the Ceremony

We thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation which is essential for the success of the Commencement Ceremony.  We wish all 2019 Graduates much success in their continued studies and in their future career.

With warm regards,

Apostolos AthanasopoulosCo-Director of Athens CollegeCoordinator of the HAEF School Units

Invitations to the Commencement Ceremony that you will receive by post are for Parents only.  If you would like other members of the family to attend the Ceremony on July 11, 2019, you will need to request additional invitations.  For more information, please pass by office 121 in Benaki Hall by Thursday, July 4, 2019 (09:00 - 15:00).

Due to the relatively limited space and the large number of parents, relatives and friends who will attend the Ceremony (07.11.2019), guests are requested to arrive on a timely basis (by 18:45) for their own convenience.
