The Foreign Languages Center of the Hellenic-American Educational Foundation (HAEF) (License Code: 2304437) is an independent unit of HAEF, operating in accordance with the prevailing legislation for Foreign Language Centers (Law 4093/2012, Law 4415/2016, MD 219434/A5/2016).

French, German and Chinese classes begin one week after the HAEF Schools’ regular classes begin. 

Sections of Special Program courses will run provided there is sufficient student enrollment in same.

Registration – Annual Tuition Fees

Tuition Fee Payment

Registration (following acceptance of the registration form on behalf of HAEF) is completed upon payment of the specified fees as outlined below. You will receive an invoice by email from the School’s Accounting Office that will include an individual payment ID thereby allowing you to pay via Web Banking or in person at one of the partner banks (National, Alpha, EUROBANK, and Piraeus) within the last 10 days of October 2022.

  • Tuition fees for Foreign Language Center courses up to 500€ are paid in full within the first ten days of November 2022 upon receipt of the invoice with your individual payment ID. 
  • Tuition fees Foreign Language Center courses over 500€ are paid in two (2) equal installments (1/2 of the total amount due during the last ten days of October 2022 upon receipt of your individual payment ID, and the rest of the amount in January 2023).



Late Registration – Course Change

Students who have not registered within the prescribed time period may request to register after classes have begun; however, registration is subject to space availability and the terms and conditions that will be specified by the Secretariat. It is possible for a student to change the day of the week that he/she will attend class, only if the Parent submits a written request within the first two (2) weeks of the Program’s operation.

 

Attendance - Absences

Regular class attendance is an essential parameter for the learning process.  Students must be in class on time.  In the event that a student is absent from both his/her morning and after-school classes, parents must also excuse their child’s absence from the after-school classes by calling the corresponding Secretariat (T:  210 6798166 & 210 6798188).   A written excuse, signed by the Parent, must also be submitted no later than one week after the absence.  It can either be brought in by the student, sent by Fax: 210 6744970, or sent by email: [email protected].

In the event that a student needs to be absent only from his/her after-school classes, for his/her own safety, the Parent must notify the corresponding Secretariat by phone (T: 210 6798166 & 210.6798188) that same morning and send a written verification either through their child, by Fax: 210 6744970 or by email:  [email protected].

 

School Bus Transportation

For the convenience of students enrolled in Special Programs course, late afternoon school bus service is available that runs along designated routes, with specific bus stops, as designated by the Transportation Office.  Final bus routes/schedules are established once registration is over, at which time bus fees are determined.  Applications to sign up for school bus service are submitted by parents directly to HAEF’s Transportation Office.  Kindly note that applications for school bus service outside the designated bus routes will not be accepted by the Transportation Office.  Due to limited spaces, applications for school bus service are strictly accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

 

Course Withdrawal

French- German- Chinese

If a student withdraws from a course by Monday, October 31, 2022, a written request for withdrawal is submitted and 150€ of the fees is due.  In the event that a student withdraws from Tuesday, November 1, 2022 onwards, full tuition fees are due.

ATTENTION: If a withdrawal request in not submitted in writing by Monday, October 31, 2022, the full annual course fee is due.

 

Special COVID-19 Terms:

HAEF is obliged to strictly observe all precautionary measures aimed at preventing and containing the spread of the new coronavirus, as prescribed by the National Public Health Organization and the Ministries of Education & Religious Affairs and Culture & Sports, as they relate to the operation of primary and secondary schools, other educational institutions and athletic facilities. 

All participants of the Special Programs are to strictly follow and comply with indicated protective measures (use of face mask, keeping social distancing etc), according to the instructions given by EODY, other state authorities as well as the HAEF policy.

Rules and Regulations


HAEF Schools Rules and Regulations apply to the operation of the Foreign Languages Center.  Upon submission of the Registration Form, parents are informed of the specific Foreign Languages Center Regulations (appendix A of the Registration Form), whose acceptance is a prerequisite for the student’s enrollment in the special program of his/her choice.
