The Arts are an integral part of our daily educational program and have become an important innovation in early childhood education in recent years.
Music, Drama, Visual Arts, Dance, and Movement serve as pedagogical tools that contribute to the achievement of learning objectives across all areas of the curriculum.
Through the Arts, students develop their skills and strengthen their motivation for learning. They are encouraged and supported to express their thoughts and feelings in unique and creative ways.
As part of our Basic Program, students participate in the following specials classes, taught by qualified educators with expertise in each discipline, who foster the achievement of these educational goals.
i. Drama
Role-play and improvisation enhance children's spontaneity, communication skills, interaction with peers, and emotional intelligence.
ii. Music
The Music program has been designed to enable students, through experiential learning, to discover rhythm and expressive movement. Children become familiar with different musical genres through listening activities, including Greek, traditional, and classical music.
iii. Visual Arts
The Visual Arts (Art) lesson, delivered in English, provides kindergarten students with the opportunity to express themselves creatively through drawing, painting, sculpture, construction, and the use of a wide variety of materials. They become familiar with the work of renowned artists, draw inspiration from their artwork, and learn to express emotions and ideas through symbols and color. Through this process, children cultivate their imagination, develop their fine-motor skills and self-confidence, while also learning to appreciate art as a means of personal expression and communication.
iv. Physical Education
Physical Education contributes to children's holistic development through play and movement. It enhances motor skills, coordination, balance, and body and spatial awareness. At the same time, it fosters self-confidence, cooperation, and social interaction. Through experiential activities, children express themselves creatively while developing fundamental skills that support both their learning and their everyday lives.
Artist of the Month
The Artist of the Month program offers students the opportunity to become familiar with distinguished Greek artists, explore their work, draw inspiration from their art, and create their own artwork through their own unique perspective.
