On Saturday, March 18, 2023, IB DP Visual Arts students visited the National Gallery of Athens where they received a guided tour of the permanent exhibition. The students were led through the vast collection of modern Greek art and had the opportunity to learn about exhibition curation and how this relates to their particular course curriculum. After visiting the museum, students went on to the National Gardens where they each chose a spot to draw by observation in their natural surroundings.  The excursion was organized by IB DP Visual Arts teachers Mrs. V. Karvouni and Mrs. M. Papanastasiou, who also accompanied the students to the Gallery and the Gardens.
