Psychico College Elementary School – March 25th Celebration

Mar 26, 2026

On Monday, March 23, the students of Psychico College Elementary School dedicated the day to celebrating the 1821 Greek Revolution.

The day began with a joint parade of the Athens College and Psychico College Elementary School Grade 5 classes, held at our School’s “Alexandros Athanasiadis” Stadium. The event was honored by the presence of School Counselor Ms. Maniati.

The day’s celebratory address was delivered by Psychico College Elementary School teacher Mr. Vangelis Krikas.

All the students of the School attended a special theatrical performance by Class 6c, directed by Mr. Vlachos, with the assistance of Ms. Kostakou and Mr. Empeoglou.

In addition, the students of classes 2a and 2e organized a lovely celebration in our School's forest, at the "Chessboard," with the participation of their teachers, Ms. I. Karageorgou, Mr. N. Zormpas, and Mr. K. Ganotis, whose contributions made the event even more vibrant and moving.

Throughout the week, the students visited the exhibition of artifacts from the Greek Revolution of 1821, held in the indoor atrium. The exhibits came from the personal collection of former Minister and President of the War Museum, Mr. Anastasios Liaskos, the parent of a student at our School.

On Wednesday, March 25, our students laid a wreath and proudly participated in the parade organized by the Municipality of Pallini, accompanied by our School’s Director, Ms. D. Panagouli, the Inter-School Head of Physical Education, Mr. P. Skylodimos, and Physical Education teacher, Ms. D. Chatzatoglou.

This year’s celebration of the 1821 Revolution gave students the opportunity to engage with history in a creative, experiential way. Through activities, presentations, and artistic events, they learned to respect the past and highlighted the importance of freedom and collectiveness in today's world.
