Psychico College Elementary School - February: Safer Internet Month

Feb 26, 2026

To mark Safer Internet Day, Psychico College Elementary School dedicated the month of February to informing students and raising awareness about the safe and responsible use of the internet.

On February 11 and 12, students in Grades 3 through 6 attended a presentation on internet safety delivered by Mr. Nakos, Chief Psychologist of the Hellenic Cyber Crime Division. During the session, students learned about potential online dangers and received practical advice on how to protect themselves in their daily digital activities.

Throughout February, additional organized educational activities took place in all Elementary School classes during Informatics lessons, aiming to help students cultivate digital responsibility and develop a critical mindset toward the use of digital media.

More specifically:

Grade 1: Students participated in a presentation and discussion on safe internet use, followed by a related comprehension quiz.

Grades 2 and 3: Students created posters with tips for safe internet browsing using MS PowerPoint and MS Word, applying text formatting and incorporating appropriate images.

Grades 5 and 6: Students completed Google's interactive educational program, Be Internet Awesome, which addresses digital safety issues through experiential activities. They also attended a presentation on age restrictions for apps and online games, followed by a productive classroom discussion.

Through these initiatives, our School aims to strengthen students' safe, responsible, and creative engagement in the digital world.
