Students from Ms. Rapti's Elementary School Grade 6 English class participated in the pilot program Media and Information Literacy in Education for Environmental Sustainability (2024-2025). The program introduced the students to the fundamentals of mass media, and they learned how to identify, analyze, and evaluate sources on environmental topics. As part of the program, the students produced their own podcast titled Buzzing for Greece, Blooming for the World!, which they submitted to the international 2025 Young Reporters for the Environment Competition. The podcast received the Gosia Luszczek International Podcasting Award, and will help the international judging panel shape future evaluation criteria for this category of the Competition.
