Our School collaborates with four Healthcare Groups — IASO, Athens Medical Group, Hellenic Healthcare Group (HHG, including Mitera, Hygeia, and Metropolitan, among others), and Bioiatriki — to offer students and their parents access to medical services at preferential rates.
Eligibility for these benefits can be verified by presenting either a Certificate of Student Status (available for printing via SoSimple; instructions are available on the HAEF Parents’ Portal) or a School Attendance Certificate issued through gov.gr. Where benefits also extend to students’ first-degree relatives, an additional certificate of family status, which can be issued directly through gov.gr, must be presented to verify the family relationship with the student. A valid identity card or passport must also be presented.
The most significant benefit is free ambulance transport to hospitals within the participating Healthcare Groups in the event of a medical emergency during school activities. A doctor will accompany the patient if necessary.
Please note that the standard procedure followed by the Athens College Medical Service in such cases is to call an EKAB ambulance. Alternatively, transport to a private hospital may be arranged if requested by the adult patient or the student’s parents, subject to the relevant consent requirements.
Further information about the benefits available and the individuals eligible to receive them is provided in the documents linked below (in Greek). Please consult the relevant information before visiting any of the hospitals or diagnostic centers listed.
For any queries or issues relating to these benefits, you may contact Ms. Theodora Kostopoulou.
