Bullying, a modern epidemic

The problem of bullying and dealing with it through art and literature…

 

Officially, in-school violence, victimization or bullying is defined as a situation in which deliberate, unprovoked, systematic and repeated violence is exerted between students or children of the same age group in order to impose physical and psychological pain.

Many parents and children are aware that the latest news does not bode well for Greece.  New research findings show that from 2010 to today the incidence of bullying, a phenomenon to which the global scientific community has turned its attention since 1970, has doubled in our country.
