On Thursday 15 January, the IB DP History class welcomed a delegation from Dongduk Girls’ High School in Korea. This event marked the culmination of a collaborative project that began in early 2025, under the supervision of Mrs. K. Georgakopoulou, who teaches the subject. The collaboration aimed at bringing students together to explore the historical and cultural ties that bind our nations, while also fostering academic dialogue and cooperation.

Activities began with a tour of the campus and the Centennial Exhibition, followed by a meeting with the 2nd Secretary to the Korean Embassy, Ms Ling. Students then worked on a collaborative project examining the Korean War and the Greek Civil War, which had developed through a series of online meetings. The day concluded in the History classroom in the IB Building with a cultural exchange, the cutting of a vasilopita, and the exchange of gifts between participants.
