The "Shipping in Athens College" Program has been running since January 2025, beginning with the establishment of the Shipping Club for Junior High School and High School students. The Shipping Club organizes a series of meetings and events both within and outside the School, aiming to familiarize students with the shipping industry, a pioneering sector in Greece.
Shipping Club activities include presentations by shipping industry professionals, visits to shipping companies and shipyards, participation in internship programs, and involvement in various shipping-related projects.
Students gain insight into the shipping industry, maritime professions, educational pathways and skills required for a career in the sector, shipping finance, international industry challenges, and future developments.
Parents, alumni, and all members of the College family who are active in the shipping industry have been steadfast supporters of the Shipping Club since its inception. Their contribution has been invaluable in supporting the School's efforts to introduce students to this vital Greek industry and the career opportunities it offers.
