Athens College awards Scholarships of Special Interest to students who have demonstrated outstanding performance in Athletics or the Arts (Music or Visual Arts).

For academic year 2023-2024, the following scholarships will be awarded:

  • Up to three scholarships for Athens College or Psychico College Grade 6 Elementary School students and for students who succeed in the Entrance Examinations for Junior High School Grade 7 who have documented excellence and special distinctions in Athletics or the Arts (Music or Visual Arts).
  • Up to three scholarships for Athens College or Psychico College Grade 9 Junior High School students and for students who succeed in the Entrance Examinations for High School Grade 10 who have documented excellence and special distinctions in Athletics or the Arts (Music or Visual Arts).

Students who are discerned must also have “excellent” conduct (by an act of the Faculty Association for JHS Grade 9 students and by a recommendation letter from their primary school’s administration for Grade 6 students).

Scholarships of Special Interest cover 100% of tuition fees and continue to be granted until the recipient’s graduation, as long as the criteria of the Scholarships of Special Interest are met. At the end of each academic year, the continuation of the scholarship will be re-examined.

In the event that the family is in need of financial aid, there is the possibility of awarding an additional amount of the transportation fees as well as up to 1,500 euros to cover the cost of books and other educational expenses (upon submitting a relevant form and all the necessary documents).

In the event that there is an insufficient number of successful candidates who meet the above criteria, then some or all of the Scholarships of Special Interest may not be awarded.
