Psychico College Elementary School – Psychoeducational Department: Getting to know each other, connecting, becoming a team!

Oct 13, 2026

September brings new beginnings, new faces, and opportunities to connect. As part of the Psychoeducational Department's initiatives, students participated in hands-on activities that helped them get to know one another, build trust, strengthen teamwork, and grow their sense of belonging in the classroom.

Through icebreaker games and group activities, the children discovered shared interests, practiced communication, and explored how to build a team in which everyone feels included. These activities help students develop communication and teamwork skills while fostering meaningful relationships.

Our activities across the grades

Grade 1 – “Let’s get together: Getting to Know Each Other – Building Trust – Working Together: A team-building activity”

Through icebreaker activities, students took their first steps toward building their classroom community and explored ways to communicate, work together, and build trust.

Grades 2 and 5 – “Let’s play Guess Who? Strengthening teamwork and building stronger relationships”

Through a game of observation and discovery, students got to know their classmates better, identified things they had in common, and strengthened their relationships, fostering teamwork and a stronger sense of cohesion.

Grades 3 and 4 – “Playing – Getting to know each other – Connecting”

Through play and collaborative activities, students interacted, learned more about one another, and strengthened their relationships with their classmates.

Grade 6 – “The team we want to be”

Students reflected on the qualities of a team in which everyone feels accepted and safe. By sharing ideas and actively participating, they highlighted the importance of respect, collaboration, and shared responsibility in fostering a positive classroom climate.

Through these shared experiences, we’re laying the groundwork for a classroom community built on connection, mutual respect, and collaboration!
