Sixty students from Elementary School Grades 4, 5, and 6 enjoyed a weekend at Sport Camp in Loutraki as part of the Special Programs field trip, held on April 25 and 26. The students were welcomed by Greek Olympic champions Ms. Evi Moraitidou, Ms. Voula Kozompoli, Mr. Dimitris Miteloudis (water polo), Mr. Dimitris Kaffatos, Mr. Grigoris Chatsaturian (handball), and Paralympic champion Mr. Thodoris Alexas (sailing). The students tried their hand at various Olympic sports while also learning about the core athletic values that define the Olympic spirit through a program by the International Olympic Truce Center. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the teachers accompanying the Special Programs who provided the students with their first overnight stay away from home.
