Psychico College Elementary School - When German met Informatics: Collaboration and Creativity in Grade 4

Psychico College Elementary School - When German met Informatics: Collaboration and Creativity in Grade 4

Apr 27, 2026

Grade 4 students had the opportunity to participate in a special learning experience that creatively blended German and Informatics.

In the computer lab, the children used the Scratch programming environment to design and create their own digital games. Their mission was to help the game’s hero pack his school bag correctly by selecting the necessary school items. Through this activity, the children practiced the German vocabulary for “Schulsachen” in a fun, hands-on way.

The students were divided into five groups, collaborated creatively, and developed their imagination and digital skills by creating five different games.

Upon completion of the process, the groups had the opportunity to play their classmates’ games on the interactive tables. This activity thrilled the children and further fostered their enthusiasm for learning through play.

It was a unique experience that combined language and technology in a creative way!

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our School’s Informatics teacher, Ms. Katerina Korda, who was an invaluable partner throughout every stage of this activity!
