Psychico College Elementary School - Presentation by Mr. Ananiadis on Neighborhoods - Grade 2
Mr. Yannis Ananiadis, an architect and father of one of our students, visited our Grade 2 classes and spoke to the children about neighborhoods—their features, their landmarks, and the elements that give each one its identity, such as the Acropolis and the churches after which some neighborhoods are named.
He showed the students an aerial view from above to help them understand its layout and organization, pointing out preserved and modern settlements, building regulations, and the importance of scale.
Finally, he discussed what makes an "ideal" neighborhood, emphasizing equality and green spaces. The visit concluded with a creative activity in which the children designed their own "perfect" neighborhood.
