Psychico College Elementary School Grade 2 - Visit to the Vorres Museum
Grade 2 students visited the Vorres Museum.
Their tour began in the museum's beautiful garden, where they admired the tall bamboo trees and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. They then explored the old house of Ian Vorres, which features a rich folk art collection showcasing items from traditional Greek life.
The visit concluded in the hall displaying modern artworks, where the students paid special attention to paintings by Christos Tsoklis and Chrysa Zouni, as well as the piece titled "Wildfire in Attica". This artwork, carrying an ecological message, encouraged reflection and heightened their awareness of environmental protection.
This visit aligned with the PYP program and the transdisciplinary theme "How we organize ourselves", helping students deepen their understanding of humanity's relationship with the environment, art, and cultural heritage. Overall, the museum experience left them with wonderful impressions!
