As part of the celebrations for the Centennial of Athens College, the Drama Club of Athens College Elementary School, under the guidance of Angeliki Gkirgkinoudi and Chrysa Filaou, presented a theatrical adaptation of Penelope Delta's book "O Mangas" on Wednesday, May 21.

A century later, we revisited an iconic figure of Greek literature and saw the world through the eyes of a loyal, courageous, and loving dog. Mangas is more than a literary character; he is a timeless symbol of enduring values that continue to inspire: friendship, kindness, and devotion.

The selection of this particular work was no coincidence. Penelope Delta, an author closely connected to our School, remains a vital part of its tradition. Her work and legacy continue to offer children meaningful messages that touch the heart and cultivate ethical thinking and introspection.

This performance honored the past while speaking to the present, showcasing the power of theater as a bridge between literature and the School's educational mission.
