Psychico College Grade 6 students were inspired by Mark Rothko (1903-1970) and created their own works. They observed the different layers of color that shine in Rothko's works and wondered what emerges from within these large rectangular shapes full of color. They understood how the artist creates different emotional atmospheres in his works, reminiscent of landscapes. They enthusiastically mixed colors with oil pastels creating personal color "landscapes" full of emotion!
