17th Annual Track & Field Meets – Athanasiadeia 2018

The 17th annual “Athanasiadeia”, Athens College – Psychico College Elementary Schools’ Track & Field Meets in memory of Alexander Athanasiadis, were held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018.

The 17th annual “Athanasiadeia”, Athens College – Psychico College Elementary Schools’ Track & Field Meets in memory of Alexander Athanasiadis, were held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. During the ceremonial part of the event, all students who participated in the competitions paraded to the accompaniment of the Hellenic Police Band.  After the Raising of the Flag and the National Anthem, Mr. Nikos Tsavliris, Vice President of the Board of Directors of HAEF, declared the opening of the games.

 

Commemorative plaquettes were awarded to the Athens College – Psychico College Elementary School students who achieved new records during In-House Track & Field competitions, as well as those who broke records during Athanasiadeia 2018.

  

Two hundred fifty seven (257) students in grades 3 to 6 took part in the competitions.

 

Two (2) new Athanasiadeia records were set and five (5) class records.

 

Boys Vortex Throw

Dimitrios Chronopoulos (P.C. ) with a throw reaching 41.20m (new Athanasiadeia record)

 

Girls Vortex Throw

Alexandra Peponi (A.C. 6στ) with a throw reaching 31.21m (new Athanasiadeia record and new A.C. 6th grade record)

 

Boys 1000 meter Race

Konstantinos Gondicas (A.C. ) with a time of 3’21”16 (new A.C. 5th grade record)

 

4th Grade Boys Relay Race 6x50m

Aggelos Kantzos-Kontogiannis, Ioannis Kostopoulos, Andreas Lamprinopoulos, Markos Mpairaktaris, Konstantinos Papagiannakis, Eleftherios Revelas (A.C. 4β) with a time of 47’’64 (new A.C. 4th grade record)

 

4th Grade Boys Relay Race 6x50m

Michalis Daskalakis, Evaggelos Deligiannis, Panagiotis Mpenos, Andreas Mpoliotis, Orestis Papanikolaou-Maniadakis, Ioannis Spiropoulos (P.C. 4δ) with a time of 49’’08 (new P.C. 4th grade record)

 

5th Grade Girls Relay Race 6x50m

Lida Diamantakou, Amalia Ieronymaki, Anastasia-Daisy Kokkala, Marilia Mpourtzou, Lydia Oikonomou, Maria Psarraki (A.C. 5γ) with a time of 44’’52 (new A.C. 5th grade record)
