Welcome to our Library!

During “Library Time,” students have an opportunity to select and borrow books of interest to them, as well as to participate in information literacy lessons and complete small projects.  Students can also visit the library and make use of its equipment during breaks in their timetable.

The library participates in the International Baccalaureate PYP (Primary Years Programme), currently in a pilot stage at the elementary schools, through corresponding thematic units and literacy programs aimed at raising children’s awareness of books and reading.

On Sudden Hill

On Sudden Hill

Author : Linda Sarah
Edition : Simon & Schuster Children’s Books
Class name : grades 1 - 2

Birt and Etho are best friends.  They spend hours playing on Sudden Hill.  But then a new boy arrives and wants to join them.  Can the twosome become a threesome?

Benji Davies’s amazing illustrations and Linda Sarah’s poetic language, translated by Antonis Papatheodoulou, convey the essential message that true friendship is incompatible with possessive behaviors and that friendship can change us, making our lives more beautiful.

The compelling tale of “Sudden Hill” will give parents and educators occasion to talk to children about the value of unconditional, unselfish and bountiful friendship.
