Athens College Junior High School – “Rewear Revolution” initiative

On Tuesday, September 8, during Welcome Day for Grade 1 students at our Junior High School, and on Thursday, September 10, the Student Community presented the “Rewear Revolution” initiative to raise awareness within the College Community about sustainability through the reuse of clothing.
As part of the initiative, the Student Community sold College sweaters and lab aprons declared lost and unclaimed in previous years. Thanks to a donation from one of our alumni, the sweaters were professionally dry-cleaned and made available for purchase at 10 euros each, with all proceeds benefiting the Scholarship Fund. The initiative received strong support from teachers and promoted the message, “Be The Change You Want To See In The World!” It also creatively highlighted the importance of the College uniform in our shared identity as members of the College Community.
We extend our warmest thanks to the College family for embracing this initiative!
