The inaugural meeting of the faculty members of the Hellenic-American Educational Foundation School Units for academic year 2022-2023 was held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at the College Theater. The meeting took place in person once again after two years due to the pandemic. 

Vice Chairman of HAEF’ s Board of Directors Mr. Alexis Phylactopoulos and Athens College President Professor Costas Synolakis ’75 gave the opening addresses. 

A presentation of the School’s achievements in academic year 2020-2021 and newly hired educators for the new school year followed by Co-Director of Athens College and Director of the Athens College High School Mr. Christos Konstantopoulos, Coordinator of Psychico College and Director of Psychico College High School Mr. Panagiotis Giannoulatos, and Director of the “J.M. Carras” Kindergarten Ms. Tatiana Gkouskou. 

Director of the Counseling Office and Coordinator of the Fulbright Fellowship Program Ms. Maria Vergou presented and welcomed this year’s 13 Fulbright Fellows. 

Director of the Athens College Libraries Ms. Alexandra Papazoglou and librarian Ms. Maria Tanti presented our School's digital repository. 

Meeting for new members of the HAEF Educational and Administrative Staff 

On Wednesday, September 7, Mr. Synolakis welcomed all new members of the Educational and Administrational Staff in an introductory meeting for all newly hired staff.

Mr. Konstantopoulos and Mr. Giannoulatos presented the School's structure and organization as well as all teacher duties.

IB Programmes Director and IB DP Head Ms. Eleni Vasileiou presented the International Baccalaureate Programmes (PYP, MYP, DP) applied at the College.

Advisor to the President Ms. Polyanthi Tsigou spoke on the teachers professional development and lifelong learning program. 

The screening of the film "They dreamt of a school..." followed as well as a speech given by Advisor to the Board of Directors and the School's Direction Mr. Dimitris Karamanos on the history and institutions of the College. 

The meeting concluded with a tour of the campus and facilities by Interschool Head of Physical Education Mr. Vasilis Moschos.
