Reuse – Recycle Books

Jun 1, 2021

The life of school textbooks does not end after one academic year! If they are in good condition, they can also offer knowledge to children who cannot afford to buy them.

The Department of Social Welfare and Diversity, in collaboration with Athens College High School, the students in charge of this action – Giorgos Chaidemos, Dionysis Livanos and Gianno Stergiou – as well as the Office of Crisis Management, invite all students to bring to School any textbooks, notebooks, and notes that are no longer needed.  Those that are in good condition will be donated to institutions for reuse, while the rest will be recycled.

With this new action, our students will contribute to environmental protection by reusing/recycling textbooks, notebooks and notes, while helping children in need.

“Become a link in the life chain of school textbooks!  Recycle now any books, notebooks and notes you no longer need!”

Recycling Points:

  • At the five campus gates  on both campuses, next to the COVID-19 checkpoints
  • At the three parking lots for school buses in Psychico and Kantza
