To parents and guardians

of Year 1 students

of Psychico College International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

Dear Parents,

We would like to take this opportunity to inform you of the procedures for the IB DP Year 1 end of year examinations. Exams will take place in the Capps/Glafka building. Students must be outside Glafka half an hour before the start of each exam, as specified in the attached timetable. On exam days, students will enter and exit the School campus through the Main Gate only. If you would like your son/daughter to leave school directly after the end of the exams, please sign the attached form and send it electronically to [email protected] by Thursday, May 27, 2021. In order to leave campus students must present the signed consent form along with their Athens College ID or national ID card.

Please also find attached for your complete information the Conduct of the Examinations: Notice to Candidates & Items NOT permitted which includes detailed instructions on the rules and procedures to be followed during the written examinations of the IB DP.

According to safety regulations, students are expected to wear facemasks both outside Glafka and within the building.  We remind you that they will not be allowed to exchange personal items with their classmates or borrow any items from the School. For this reason, students must bring their own pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, rulers, concise English - Greek /Greek - English dictionaries and Graphic Display Calculators. Additionally, mobile telephones must be turned off and, along with any other items in their possession, stored in their bags and left in specially designated areas. Once the examination commences, students are not allowed to leave the examination room during the 1st hour and the last 15 minutes of the exam.

We pay particular attention to all measures of prevention and safeguarding of our school community. We thus kindly ask that you visit the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs website where information on all the measures for the prevention and protection from the Coronavirus taken in High Schools can be found.  There you will also find complete information on self-testing and the issuing of the school card which students must carry on them at all times and show whenever asked. Our teachers will ensure that these safety measures as specified by the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs are followed.

With our best wishes for your child’s success,
