Mathematics Competition Pythagoras 2021: Postponed Until April
To the Parents and Guardians of
2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th
grade students
Dear Parents,
We wish to advise you that the Hellenic Mathematical Society announced that the 3rd annual Mathematical Competition “Pythagoras” has been moved from Saturday, February 13, 2021 to Saturday, April 3, 2021.
As you have already been informed, the competition, which is organized by the Hellenic Mathematical Society, is open to students in primary grade 2 through high school grade 12 and will be held online this year.
The Hellenic
Mathematical Society (HMS) will create a username and password for each student
that registers. Usernames and passwords
will be sent by HMS to the School, which in turn will forward them to the email
that you have already declared or will declare (for parents who are now
registering) on the online Registration
Form.
We should remind you that students who are eligible to compete must submit the €10 fee, which corresponds to the annual subscription to the magazine “Pythagoras,” together with the attached Registration Form by Monday, March 22, 2021.
Kindly place the money and completed form in an envelope and have your child bring it in to Mr. Nikos Lampropoulos (Administration Secretariat).
Also, in addition to the registration form and the fee which you must send in, you must also submit the online form you will find by clicking on the link PYTHAGORAS 2021 in order to ensure that contestants have proper communication and immediate information with the HMS before and during the competition. The student details and email that you submit to HMS will be used for the purposes of the competition.
The email should be unique for each students.
No extension will be given for the receipt of registration forms.
Sincerely yours,
Dimitris E. Siamopoulos
Director
