Mar 21, 2024

Fifteen students and three teachers from the "College Jean Vilar" school in France visited the Athens College Junior High School in the framework of the European Erasmus+ project KA121 titled "Climate Collaborators: uniting schools for change". The aim of the project is to promote the collaboration between schools and raise awareness on the global issue of the climate crisis.

During the implementation of the project, Athens College Junior High School students had the opportunity to work with students of the French school "College Jean Vilar" and remotely with the students of the Italian school "Liceo Scientifico G.B. Grassi".

The project, which implements the STEAM educational methodology, is a product of collaboration of the following disciplines: French, English, Literature, Art, Geography, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Home Economics, Technology, Gymnastics, and Music. The Athens College Junior High School Clubs "Historical and Archaeological", "Living in the Mediterranean - Land of the Olive", and "World Explorers" contributed to its implementation.

From Monday to Saturday March 4-9, the three schools worked together, exchanged views and created original projects. The French, Italian, and Greek students presented the results of their collaboration to their peers, conveying a strong message against climate crisis and proposing solutions for a sustainable planet.
