Entrance Examinations - Scholarships for academic year 2024-2025

On Saturday, April 6, 2024, 8:30-13:30, Athens College will hold written exams for the admission of students to Grade 7 (1st Gymnasium), Grade 10 (1st Lyceum) and the first year of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for academic year 2024-2025 on the College's premises in Psychico.

Scholarship Program

For academic year 2024-2025, Athens College will offer:

For the first year of Junior High School (Grade 7)

  • the possibility of full or partial financial support to the first sixty (60) students who will be admitted based on their family's financial situation. Decisions will be made based on the criteria of the College's Scholarship Program.
  • Up to six (6) full scholarships to students who excel in the Entrance Examinations, regardless of financial status.
  • Up to three (3) full Scholarships of Special Interest to students among the first sixty (60) successful applicants who demonstrate documented outstanding achievement and special distinction in Athletics, Music or Visual Arts.

For the first year of High School (Grade 10)

  • the possibility of full or partial financial support to the first twenty (20) students who will be successful in their admission based on their family's financial situation. Decisions will be made based on the criteria of the College's Scholarship Program.
  • Up to four (4) full scholarships to students who will excel in the Entrance Examinations, regardless of financial status.
  • Up to three (3) full Scholarships of Special Interest to students among the first twenty (20) successful applicants who demonstrate documented outstanding achievement and special distinction in Athletics, Music or Visual Arts.

For the 1st year of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

  • A full scholarship to a student who is placed first and excels in the Entrance Examinations, regardless of financial status. 

Since the beginning of the College of Athens in 1925, the Scholarship Program has been a cornerstone of the pedagogical - social philosophy of the School and a fundamental element of its unique character. The aim of the Program is to offer the opportunity to deserving children to study at the College, whatever the financial situation of their families may be. Thanks to the Scholarship Program, hundreds of students whose families have limited financial resources, study at the College on scholarship. For academic year 2023-2024, the College has allocated more than €4,200,000 for scholarships.

For candidates attending a regional school, the College offers - in addition to the above-mentioned - Regional Scholarships.

All scholarships are awarded until the students graduate, provided that the conditions under which they were awarded continue to be met. A prerequisite for the awarding of any Scholarship is the exceptional conduct of the students.
