As part of the inquiry into the transdisciplinary unit, How the World Works, with the central idea ‘Force affects the motion of objects and people’, students from kindergarten classes were visited by the President of Athens College Professor Costas Synolakis '75. During the visit, students had the opportunity to learn new information regarding forces and how they affect the natural world and, more specifically, about tsunamis, fires and earthquakes. Students practiced social, communication and thinking skills as they asked Dr. Synolakis questions to learn more about forces.
