Athens College High School student distinguished in International Competition "Cyprus-Greece-Homeland: educational bridges"

The Primary Education Directorate of Serres, the Ministry of Interior (Macedonia-Thrace), the Embassy of Cyprus in Greece - Cultural Office - House of Cyprus and the Department of Educational Broadcasting and Digital Media of the Greek Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports co-organized the 10th International Student Competition "Cyprus-Greece-Expatriate Community: educational bridges". The Competition was addressed to students of all grades of public and private Kindergartens, Elementary, Junior High and High Schools in Greece, Cyprus and the Greek Diaspora. It was implemented with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports of Greece and the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth of Cyprus.

The main objective of the Competition was to serve as an educational "bridge" between Greece, Cyprus, and the Hellenic expatriate community and to strengthen cooperation and communication between all the student communities of Hellenism.

The common feature of all the final projects submitted was the Hellenism of Cyprus. Schools submitted various final projects such as:

-Story

-Fairy tale

-Musical composition (complete song or musical composition or setting of a well-known poem)

-Artwork (painting, poster, sketch)

-Short film (which aims to raise awareness, to move, to motivate, to make the viewer aware of and involved in the problem)

-Short film in the form of a fiction or documentary

-Three-dimensional construction

-School newspaper

-Website or blog

-Project

Athens College High School 2 student Aikaterini-Maria Agoranou won 1st Prize in the category Music Composition (complete song or musical composition or setting of a well-known poem) with her work "Cypriot Rhapsody".
