About Teresa Farmaki

She graduated from Athens College in 1996. She holds a degree in Economics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MBA from Columbia University in New York.

She has been working in the investment sector from a young age. After a notable career in New York, she returned to Greece and was appointed at the age of 29 Chief Investments Officer for Private Equity of Piraeus Bank. 

In 2011, she went to London where she worked on managing investments. In 2015, she co-founded Astarte Capital Partners, an asset management firm headquartered in London with operations in Sydney and Toronto.

She has more than 20 years of experience in the private market sector and is one of the very few women founders in the private equity and real asset sectors.

In July 2021, she was named as one of the “Women of Influence in Private Markets” by Private Equity International, and in 2022 she was included in the list of Financial News FN 100 Most Influential Women in Finance.
