Information for High School 11th Grade and IB1 Students about the Safe Water Sports Program
Dear students,
We would like to inform you that on Monday, April 5, 2021, during Flexible Zone (10:10-10:50), there will be a presentation for General High School 11th grade and IB1 students about the “Safe Water Sports” educational program, developed by the homonymous non-profit Organization that was founded in the summer of 2015. The Organizations’ main objective is to enhance safety in water, water sports and leisure activities. This educational program is unique in our country, as well as across Europe, and will be presented by Mr. Paschalaki, head of the “Safe Water Sports” educational program.

Project with College Students
College students will have an opportunity to participate in the following voluntary activities after watching the presentation:
1. Answer, via Online Polling, the questions included in the film that will shape its flow. The aim of this polling is to give the team working on the script feedback and clarity as to how obvious the correct or incorrect answer is, enabling them to make adjustments before shooting. Attached are instructions for the Online Poll.
2. Participate in working groups of 2-4 students in order to write the protagonists’ dialogues for each scene, as well as the question that will shape the 2 alternative flows of the script (the right and the wrong development). Each group will edit the dialogues for a scene (the film has a total of 14 scenes), consisting of an introduction, question and two alternative outcomes (correct and wrong).
3. Participate in the film shooting (during the summer, once schools let out, on a voluntary basis). This is a unique experience to work up close with professional directors and film crews.
4. Plan a filming event, once schools reopen and conditions permit, that will include gathering filming materials from the teams of students working on the project and conduct interviews with them on the subject of the activity.
5. Create a backstage video during filming with the participation of students who will take part in the interactive film.
6. Create a video for the project from the material that will have been collected from the above activities.
In view of the “Safe Water Sports” educational program presentation on Monday, April 5, 2021, we kindly ask you to carefully read the attached documents.
Sincerely,
Panagiotis
