As part of our School’s cultural events, students in Grades 1 and 2 at Psychico College Elementary attended an informative event marking World Animal Day, with Ms. Afroditi Stathi, Communications Advisor at the Ministry of the Interior, in attendance. The students learned about protecting stray animals, adopting animals from shelters, and caring for them responsibly.

The discussion also covered animals’ sensitivity to noise, the use of quiet fireworks, and the valuable assistance guide dogs provide to people with visual impairments. Through the presentation and a related video, the children gained a greater understanding of these issues and learned how they, too, can contribute to the protection and well-being of animals.
