We are extremely pleased to announce that teacher Marianthi Giannakopoulou, coordinator of the European eTwinning project “Forest Guardians” for Athens College Elementary School, has received the National Quality Label for its successful implementation.

The project was carried out by the Environmental and Gardening Club, with the participation of Grade 3 and 4 students, as well as two Grade 5 English classes, in collaboration with the European School of Munich and Granbyskolan in Uppsala, Sweden.

Through collaborative, hands-on activities, the children explored forest ecosystems, biodiversity, and natural forest regeneration. With valuable scientific support from WWF Greece, they deepened their environmental awareness and collaborated with their peers from other European countries, taking on the role of little “Forest Guardians.”

The National Quality Label recognizes the creativity, collaboration, and dedication demonstrated by everyone involved in the project.
