Athens College Elementary School Grade 6 - PYP Exhibition 2026: A celebration of expression, creativity, and thought
It was with immense pride and deep emotion that our Elementary School Grade 6 students concluded another outstanding PYP Exhibition (#PYPX 2026).
In this historic milestone year, as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Athens College (1925–2025), our children have demonstrated, in the best possible way, that the future belongs to them.
Centered around the main question “How We Express Ourselves?”, our students researched, collaborated, and presented their findings, impressing us all with their critical thinking and creativity.
The school premises were transformed into interactive hubs of ideas, where we had the opportunity to admire projects across an impressive variety of themes.
In the realm of technology and the digital world, the children explored how social media influence the ways we express ourselves and studied the role of words, emojis, and robots in the age of technology and artificial intelligence. They demonstrated how we express ourselves in the digital world, created their own animations, and impressed us with interactive games.
In visual arts and images, they critically explored the dichotomy “Images vs. Reality – Behind the Mask,” while inviting us to create our own “Click on Art.” At the same time, they engaged with masterpieces such as Picasso’s Guernica, discovered the aesthetic value of outdoor sculptures in Athens, studied graffiti as a form of street art, and explored the hidden history of Greek cinema.
The art of sound was also in the spotlight: our students invited us to express ourselves through music, presenting it as the “Architecture of Sounds” and highlighting the “Power of Rock” as a form of expression. Furthermore, they took us on a journey into the magical world of dance, through movement, expression, and emotions.
In the realm of words and action, they presented different communication systems and moved us by showing how we express ourselves through words that become notes and through stories that come to life. They shared journal entries through “Ink Your Dreams” and expressed themselves through comics and games.
They also explored emotions through “Inside Out,” solved puzzles in the “Knowledge Treasure Hunt with Street Signs,” and experimented with natural crafts.
Our children took risks, showed who they are, stood confidently before an audience, defended their ideas, and proved they have all the tools to become thoughtful and active global citizens.

A huge round of applause for our young researchers, who surpassed themselves, collaborated flawlessly, and demonstrated that imagination and critical thinking know no bounds!
Of course, none of this would have been possible without their teachers and mentors, whom we warmly thank for their invaluable guidance. Their dedication and support at every stage of the process were the catalyst for this outstanding result.
See you on our next great adventures!
