Athens College Elementary School has once again been awarded the Green Flag for Eco-Schools, an international certification that recognizes the continued integration of sustainability into our School's operations and culture.

The “Eco-Schools” Network, coordinated in Greece by the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature (HSPN), is the largest international environmental education program, with approximately 55,000 participating schools in more than 100 countries, including over 1,000 in Greece.

The award ceremony took place on April 3, 2026, at Technopolis City of Athens, as part of the Student Festival of Eco-Schools, organized by the HSPN. This distinction served as a significant recognition of the ongoing efforts of students and teachers to create a more collaborative, responsible, and eco-friendly school.

Members of our School's Student Community accepted the Green Flag on behalf of our School.
