The High Schools of Athens College and Psychico College participated in the 10th International Student Literature Conference, held from March 11 to March 15, 2026, at Zografeio High School in collaboration with Mandoulides Schools under the auspices of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. The event, titled Dido Sotiriou: The Asia Minor Greek, brought together students from approximately 35 schools and prominent figures from literature and the arts.

Participation in the conference gave the students and teachers of our School the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of Dido Sotiriou's personality and work, while also experiencing a unique encounter with the enduring and indelible Greek imprint on Istanbul.

Alongside the conference proceedings, the students visited historical monuments that are landmarks for Greek culture, such as Hagia Sophia, the Patriarchate of Constantinople, and the Church of Saint Mary of Blachernae, and to attend a concert by Yannis Kotsiras and theatrical performances. They also toured the Bosporus, Propontis, the Princes’ Islands, and Heybeliada, and interacted with the Greek community of Istanbul, which preserves the city's long-standing Greek presence.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Aspa Chasioti and Mr. Giannis Demirtzoglou for their hospitality and admirable work.

The conference was attended by the following High School Grade 2 students from Athens College: Emmanouil Chamarakis, Adriani Gavrilou, Ilias Georgopoulos, Rallou Spyridoula Georgopoulou, Filippos Leon Leontidis, Konstantinos Liapis, Evangelia Meteveli, and Christos Tzagkarakis, accompanied by teachers Ms. Aikaterini Nikolaou and Mr. Nikistratos Palantzas; and the following Psychico College High School Grade 2 students: Niovi Karakoglou, Melina Kontaxi, Ariana Kournioti, Athina Mayridou, Emmeleia Oikonomopoulou, and Afroditi Panagiotopoulou, accompanied by teachers Ms. Evia Kainada and Mr. Vasilis Mitseas.
