Guest Speaker of the Month- Ms Maria Filopoulou
As part of the inquiry into the transdisciplinary unit, How the World Works, with the central idea, “Patterns and forces in space affect life on Earth”, kindergarten students practiced thinking skills and became open-minded when they welcomed Ms. Maria Filopoulou, a renowned artist, and participated in a very special learning experience related to painting. Ms. Filopoulou talked to students about her work, the painting techniques she uses, what inspires her, and showed a selection of her paintings depicting the sea. Students used various materials to create their own work of art illustrating the sea. At the end of the program, students had the opportunity to ask Ms. Filopoulou questions and practice communication skills.
We warmly thank her!
