Psychico College Elementary School - Thanksgiving 2025

Dec 3, 2025

On Thursday, November 27, all Psychico College Elementary School students embraced the spirit of Thanksgiving and reflected on the holiday's true meaning: gratitude, kindness, and companionship.

The younger students in Grades 1 and 2 enjoyed a warm and beautiful celebration in the school theater. Grade 1 students recited "A Child's Prayer" and sang "Autumn Leaves Are Falling Down," wearing colorful feathers they had created themselves. Grade 2 students presented a wonderful selection of songs and poems, including "Thanks at Thanksgiving," "Farmer Brown," "Thanksgiving Dinner," and "We Are Going Apple Picking."

Grade 3 and 4 students expressed their gratitude by writing messages on apples and leaves, which they used to decorate the Trees of Gratitude.

Grade 5 students created a vibrant Wall of Gratitude, adorned with notes of appreciation.

Grades 3, 4, and 5 also watched the play "The Ripple of Kindness," performed by Grade 3 students. The play celebrated how small acts of kindness can have a big impact. Following the performance, Grades 3 and 4 sang "Together We Can Change the World," while Grade 5 performed "Count on Me."

Grade 6 students wrote messages of gratitude on feathers, which they used to create two colorful Thanksgiving Turkeys. In their Culture classes, together with their teachers, they explored the history of the first Thanksgiving, its traditions and customs, and how the holiday is celebrated today.

With the support of Fulbright Fellows, a touching video was created featuring students from all grade levels sharing what they are grateful for.

The day concluded with the Thanksgiving Lunch Concert in our school's open courtyard, featuring sections 5e, 6g, 4a, 4b, 3a, 3d, 3e, 3f, and 3g.

It was a meaningful day for our entire school community, an opportunity to reflect on what truly matters and count our many blessings.
