As part of the inquiry into the transdisciplinary theme, Who We Are, with the central idea, “Characteristics, abilities, and interests make people unique.”, pre-kindergarten students had the opportunity to take part in the educational program, I Love Guide Dogs, meant to cultivate the concepts of inclusion and accepting one’s uniqueness. The program emphasized the value of collaborating and helping each other while emphasizing the importance of caring for animals. Guide dogs are living examples of solidarity allowing students to maintain a positive perspective towards individuals with disabilities.
