On Friday, October 10, and Monday, October 13, 2025, we were excited and honored to welcome renowned British children's author and illustrator Tom Percival to our Elementary Schools, following an invitation from our Library.

Athens College Elementary School Grade 1 students participated in an interactive presentation of the author's new book, Sammy Feels Shy. Tom Percival shared how he creates and illustrates his characters, introducing the students to the magical world of feelings, creativity, and music.

A few days later, Psychico College Elementary School Grade 5 students had the opportunity to meet the beloved author in person. They asked insightful questions and discovered the secrets behind his stories, his inspiration, and his writing process. With his warmth and openness, Tom Percival captivated the students and encouraged them to express themselves freely through their imagination and creativity.

Both presentations were held in English, giving students the opportunity to engage directly with a contemporary author in an atmosphere of joy, inspiration, and creativity that left a lasting impression on all who attended.
