Opening of the anniversary exhibition: "100 Years of Athens College"
The anniversary exhibition "100 Years of Athens College" was officially inaugurated on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the College Theater. The exhibition highlights key aspects of the School's century-long history, showcasing archival materials, historical records, and memorabilia.
The event drew hundreds of alumni, educators, administrators, staff, and members of the broader College community, who came together to explore an exhibition that took them on a journey through the College's history—featuring significant events, influential figures, and cherished memories.

Speakers at the event included Ms. Annika Papantoniou, Chair of the Centennial Steering Committee and former Chair of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic-American Educational Foundation (HAEF); Mr. Alexis Phylactopoulos '65, current Chairman of the HAEF Board of Directors; and Professor Spiros N. Pollalis, President of Athens College.

Ms. Papantoniou welcomed attendees, emphasizing that the exhibition powerfully captures the College's long history, allowing us to witness the School's achievements, the challenges it has overcome during its operation, and the spirit that continues to drive it forward.

Mr. Phylactopoulos reflected on the exhibition's exciting narrative and shared personal insights from his own College experience. He connected the history of the College to the broader history of Greek society, and underscored the School's founding mission: to cultivate well-rounded individuals and socially responsible citizens equipped to serve society in leadership positions.

Mr. Pollalis underlined that the School continues to build upon the strong foundations established during its first century. He noted that the anniversary exhibition offers a valuable opportunity to reflect and shape the School's path forward. He expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to the creation of the exhibition— drawing on the College's rich archives—and to the alumni who responded to the School's call by sharing their memorabilia.

Ms. Anna Enepekidou '92, the curator of the exhibition, described the College's history as a mosaic composed of events, people, thoughts, and ideas. She envisioned the exhibition as an educational space that would engage the students, encouraging them to explore the School's history. She also invited visitors to contribute their own stories to a memory wall, where they could exchange their experiences.

The event was further honored by the presence of Ms. Niki Kerameus '98, Minister of Labor and Social Security and alumna of the School.

The exhibition is part of the Athens College Centennial celebrations and will remain open until May 2026.
