Lecture by Alexis Moissis '80: "Practical Applications of Artificial Intelligence for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses in Greece"

On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, Alexis Moissis '80 delivered a lecture titled "Practical Applications of Artificial Intelligence for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses in Greece". The presentation explored how Artificial Intelligence is being integrated into enterprise software solutions tailored to the needs of small and medium-sized businesses. Key topics included the challenges and opportunities faced by Greek businesses, as well as innovative AI applications from various sectors and technology providers that are directly enhancing productivity.

The event was organized by the Athens College Lifelong Learning Programs, as part of the series: "Open Meetings: Presenting my Work".

About Alexis Moissis

He graduated from Athens College in 1980. He holds four degrees from MIT (electrical engineering, computer science and administrative science). Over the course of 35 years, he has contributed to the development of several leading enterprise software companies, three of which (Sybase, Business Objects, Ariba) were later acquired by SAP. He is also a published author, having written on the history of Ioannina. In 2017, he was honored by the Academy of Athens for his book "The Nissim Levis Panorama: 1898-1944".

Currently based in Silicon Valley, Alexis Moissis serves as a member of the team that coordinates the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) for SAP, Europe's largest professional software company. In this role, he closely monitors advancements in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
