We are proud to announce that Athens College Elementary School has once again been honored in the Bravo Schools 2025 Competition, which promotes sustainable development education and student engagement with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

This year, our school participated in all four competition categories, organizing initiatives grounded in the values of responsibility, innovation, and social outreach:

Collaborative events with local and wider society: Spreading happiness

Applied scenarios/innovative programs: Zero Food Waste

Student creations: Roots in the Past, Fruits for the Future: Planting a garden with traditional seeds

Collaborative programs: Food and Climate Change – What is the Connection? We Take Action!

The school was distinguished for the collaborative Erasmus+ program Food and Climate Change – What is the Connection? We Take Action!, implemented in partnership with the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature and the DOVES Foundation in Slovenia. Ms. Marianthi Giannakopoulou and Ms. Faye Kafetzopoulou, teachers of the English Department, took part in the program, which was distinguished as one of the best proposals for Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.
