Journalist Sia Kossioni, the mother of one of our students, visited the Grade 2 students to discuss her profession and explain what it means to be a journalist.

She described how journalists pursue news everywhere—from across the world to right in their own neighborhoods—and spoke about what makes her work special.

She highlighted that journalism does not follow regular hours or take place in a fixed office. Instead, it offers a wide range of experiences: gaining knowledge, meeting interesting people, and travelling to different parts of the world.

Ms. Kossioni concluded with a quote by Johann Jakob Mayer: "Publicity is the very soul of justice." To wrap up, the students watched a special video they had created themselves. Taking on the role of reporters, they presented the most important news stories of the year, including Spring Day, the musical theater performance, our School's botanical garden, and the STEAM program.
