The Music Theater Group of the Psychico College Elementary School participated in the 4th Panhellenic Youth Music and Theater Festival, held in Tripoli on May 9-10 and 16-18.

The group presented Aristophanes' "The Birds" at the Malliaropouleio Theater, incorporating elements from the iconic 1959 Art Theater production (featuring the translation by Vassilis Rotas, music by Manos Hatzidakis, parts of the choreography by Rallou Manou). In doing so, the students paid tribute to Karolos Koun and contributed to the celebration of the College's Centennial.

Our young performers sang, danced, and acted with passion and dedication. With wings on their backs, they "flew" across the stage, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.

The group was guided by Vissaria Velliou (Music teacher) and Katerina Kostakou (Drama teacher). Movement and choreography were overseen by Natasha Martin in collaboration with our school's teacher, Nikos Zormpas, who had taken part in the 1986 revival of the historic production as a young actor. Costumes were designed by Vasia Tzotzopoulou, lighting by Elissavet Moraki, and set design by Magda Vasila and Martha Dimitropoulou.
