J.M. Carras Kindergarten and the NGO Axion Hellas has collaborated in an important effort to enrich school libraries on Greek islands that lack books and resources. Through participation in the program Sending Books to Remote Islands, the aim is to provide as many books as possible, thus fostering a love for reading!
In April, students collected new or second-hand but well-preserved books and offered them to children on the islands of Patmos and Nisyros in the Cyclades. Axion Hellas transferred 200 books to Nisyros and another 200 books to Patmos, accompanied by beautiful drawings with warm wishes for happy times spent reading.
