Students Ioanna Magklara and Ilia Manessi, from Psychico College Junior High School 3, reached the International ESL Final of the International Competition for Young Debaters 2025, which took place on Saturday, May 3, at the Cambridge Union.

Our team qualified for the international finals through the Greece Qualifying Round which took place in February of this year. In the International Finals, our students competed with teams from all over the world, including teams from the United Kingdom, India, Ireland, Canada, and Zimbabwe.

Our students ranked in the top 4 ESL teams in the international competition and participated in the international ESL final which took place in the Cambridge Union Chamber, achieving the highest ranking among the Greek teams that took part in the competition.

ICYD is open to students who are under 16 years old and this year was organized by the debate team of the Cambridge Union, giving our students the opportunity to debate in the oldest Debate Union in the world, and to visit the University.
